Noticed some odd behavior in Mario Kart 64 and it turned out that the auto blend mode made a faulty blend which in turn made texture check do more work than it it should to fix the textures. All should now be fixed :)

Not only did the graphics improve in MK64 (see balloons!) but there is also a small speedup (~3-4%) when using texture update every frame.
OOT (and other games using texture update) should also receive a small speed up with texture check enabled.

Proof is in the pudding :)

Nice ! This is the main game I'm firing up in dx64, but it runs at about 70% sync with rev733. I got a need for speed !

do you mean in Rev733 or a new Rev is going to be released?

Great job! didn't think those balloons would ever show up correctly.
I remember Kerationz and I tried about everything to get those balloons to show up properly in the past :P

You obviously understood it wrong so I better explain it again...
When using texture check its not going to slow down the game anymore (eg. its pretty much for free now)

But is that gonna be in a new realease of daedalusx64 or is it an option in the resent version? thnx

Texture Update is also in the current rev, but uses some CPU -> slows down emu (like frame limiter before).
Due to Corn, it should not use any (a lot) cpu anymore
