How do I upgrade from 5.50 Gen D3 to 6.60 PRO B10?

I just get "The system software of your psp system is version 9.90. There is no need to update." Message. Leading me to believe removing GEN D3 first would just make this process easier.

yeah you gotta edit the version.txt to say a lower fw idk why the :-S gen was set to say 9.90

It worked, thank you for bearing with me and my utter stupidity. I can't get the Cipl Flasher to work though I would like it to be a permanent CFW change.

I DO NOT recommend CIPL. 4 months ago, I was going about my business (using a UMD) when my psp bricked. That shit's dangeroous. It's not worth the risk.
