I want to take part of your project. I have medium knowledge of c because it's the languaje I use to work in (i'm currently studying at first year), but also have a basis of c++ ,python and java (I know it's not related). Anyway, I learn fast. Thus learning and adquiring experience are the main reasons of my appliance. I have notions of computer architecture (memory,ABI... those kind of things) and also a bit of knowledge of assembler(mainly x86), cryptography and graphical programming (but I'm speaking quite a bit because most of those things I learned them on my own). So if you consider me adequate for the job PM me. In case you PM me agreeing I'll inmediately start focusing in this project.

I'm kinda worried about this because it will be my first serious project and don't want to trick anybody (at least to apply to ;D ):
I repeat, I've no experience in this kind of projects nor developing for PSP.

About SVN... I'll handle; It can't be so difficult. On the other hand debugging could be troublesome...I don't have PSP :-[ (Yeah, big problem). My cousin's one sure is availiable during weekends >.> EDIT: You won't believe it, but that fool has connected his PSP to PSN TODAY!! It's what you're thinking in: the new 3.57 update. He has just phoned me saying "My games doesn't work :'( :'( " . Goodbye to my debug machine.

Thanks for your time, but due to this incident I have almost no hope.

Any questions by PM or e-mail please.

Thanks, that would be nice!!

Also, lemme ask for a thing. As I stated, I would like to learn something from this project in order to help some day. Would you mind to recommend me some lectures about emulation topics?

BTW, may I remove the post now that's non use?

Thanks again. :)

Is ok if you don't have a PSP, like re4thewin said you could use the PC version as a base, both PSP and PC use the same core, and any change or improvement can be merge to either N64(PC) or Dx64(PSP).

You can get the N64 introduction and reference manual, which pretty much explains you how the N64 works, just google for
"sites google nintendo 64 manual" is going to be the first result (sorry can't directly link you due being copyright'ed

I would highly suggest you to get a PSP if you are more interested on the PSP port, PSPs these days are really cheap; ex less than $50. Which is pretty good counting all you can do it with it. As of right now any high FW ex 6.35 is hackable, so don't worry about it.

Tanks for your help. I really appreciate it!!

Got the docs.
About the PSP, I though it was a must-have and that's the reason of my post (the other is that my English is not good enough). I want one, of couse, so I'll buy it soon.

I'll start to read the info, but i'll need some time before start coding since is not a very familiar topic and the subject is difficult . Anyway, I'll do my best.

Thanks again.

Well I say yes because it's always nice to have a new face around. I can tell that you are going to be helpful already. What would help you become a dev is if you were to edit the code to implement or optimize something, and submit it to another dev for review, then they determine if you will be able to commit your changes to the SVN. That's basically how it works to seriously apply, you need to show something before you can officially be labeled as a dev.

Ok tanks for the tip. As I said, my goal is to improve my skills, and to do that I'll work hard in this project, but I had exams this week so even if my plans were to start reviewing the code tomorrow and read the docs Salv-E recommended I'm quite tired (and of course happy that you, people gave me an oportunity). I can't promise anything in my situation. I'm quite good at coding, but it was compared to university students and no one has the knowledge I had in many fields, but my experience is 0. I'll think about my real aplliance after doing this. I've to review also some concepts, but I'm optimistic.

To be honest, I'm so nostalgic and still to remember all the time I spent with SM64 or OOT... so thats my real reason.
I also noticed the good atmosphere in the forum and I can't ask for anything more.

Ok. I've got my new PSP go here. I'm wondering if it would be a good idea to upgrade to 6.35 -now it's on 5.70. Any suggestion?
