As long as you don't go downloading plugins Pro-B LCFW should be just fine. I've used it on two of my PSPs (1001 and a 2001) and haven't ever had an issue since I've only used it for DaedalusX64 and the PS1 games that aren't on PSN.

Im not even sure, how do i check that? And i might check out that LCFW if it doesnt harm anything. The only thing is i was looking for that attitude and ecw game just for the meantime until no mercy gets all its bugs sorted so its not even that big of a deal. But if no mercy ends up needing it to work right then thats when ill look into it.

In the PSP main menu, scroll all the way to the right and then up or down to click System Settings. Then go almost all the way down to System Information. Right next to System Software it will show you what version you're using. This version number is also important when you go to get LCFW, if you decide to use it.

LCFW stands for Light Custom Firmware. Light meaning that it doesn't get permanently installed over or replace your OFW. Most people call LCFW a HEN as it was used in some LCFW names.

Heads up: this video is oldish, Pro-B9 is no longer the Nightly Build as it has been fully released.
I wouldn't suggest going with Pro-B10 as it's the new Nightly Build, unless you're really knowledgeable about the PSPs innards.

@111MrB111 first check what ofw you are using the way "Reamer87" explained before, then download the lcfw file that macthes your ofw example i have 6.35 ofw and i am using 6.35 pro-b9. just copy your lcfw file in its folder to your game folder on the psp and run it on your psp then on the screen will come up install cfw just do that each time the cfw goes off as when your battery comes out or your psp crashes the cfw will go away all you need to do is reinstall it by loading it again simple. it cannot do any harm to your psp

Ok cool thanks for that help. The only reason i was nervous is this is my 2nd psp since my other one broke but on my other one i tried to download what i think was some type of firmware that i found off of youtube a long time ago. That ended up locking up my psp until i was able to restore it to default. So i am just a little hesitant. But im probably going to try this because i dont think there are any psx emulators that dont use a firmware and i would like to try to get Smackdown 2 on my psp since thats my 2nd favorite wrestling game behind no mercy.

@ 111MrB111 i have all the wrestling games on ps1 on my psp but none of them really compare to wwf no mercy and the other aki games the only ones that come close are wwf smackdown 1 and 2

Yea i agree no mercy is one of the best. I just like the never ending story mode of smackdown 2. Thats one of my favorite story modes of all the wrestling games thats why i like it so much.

yeah no mercy on the go would be epic thats why i want it so bad ive posted all the bugs on the latest rev just gotta wait to see what its like on the next rev

Edit: i just wanted to know how do i add wwf no mercy to the compatibility list cos its it aint there. if i cant do it can someone please such as a moderator or someone add it. thank you the compatibility list is really outdated you see now it is starting to get updated other games have been added to it aswell and no mercy needs to be their aswell thanks again
