I want to try to play kaizo mario 64 but it looks like you need to savestate alot. Is there any way to do a quick savestate while playing a game without having to go back into the menu? (Like a specific button combination) Thanks for any help.

No there isn't. The only secret button combo is L + R + Select to force back to the main menu.
