No offense to nintendo boy but that video was very propagandistic. I used the same rev and rom (the gamecube one) and it wasn't that amazingly fullspeed. The fps seemed to increase a great amount with frameskip on which was pretty odd. Everywhere else in clock town was slow as :-S. He should have showed that in the video cause he got my hopes up for nothing. -_-

edit: I'm updating to Gen D2 to check for differences

That video was made using the bug that has been mentioned. I tested it myself using the bug and it ran just like in the video.

Yeah but he made it look like the whole game was fullspeed and he said that clock town was the slowest part of the game and yadyadayada. But everywhere else in clocktown is really slow.

Propagandistic doesn't mean its a lie, he just showed the only part of the truth he wanted you to see.

Like instead of saying "This part of Clock Town loads fast but the rest of it is slow as crap", He said "Clocktown is the slowest part of the game and now it is running at x.xx".

lol this is so off topic.

edit: anyway i checked GEN-D2 and there is a speed difference from Gen-B2(big difference) but the menu glitch is still there.(not sure about the random freezing but that's probably still there)

The point is if Clock Town runs fullspeed, it means the rest of the game runs even higher than FullSpeed up to 200% !

Compare Clock Town with any other part of the game and you'll see Clock Town is the slowest place of the game..

If you see is running fullspeed (check the fps counter it stays over 100% which 100% = Fullspeed)
As on 441 Clock Town runs at around 50% which is nowhere near the speed shown on the video :P

Other places runs up to 200% = 2X fullspeed, and doesn't go lower than 100% aka FullSpeed.

Back to topic, I think the slowed down happened on the vfpu changes?

I plan to do a full speed analysis again to find any slow downs. I will also work on a few other minor bugs.

m33 cant play newer games so it almost defeats the purpose now and actually I think Gen-D2 runs about the same.

Meh, 95% of PSP games are mostly crap so I don't really have a need to go back to GEN yet, I might if Lunar and Phantasy Star 2 turn out to be pretty good, or I might just patch the ISOs.

On Topic: I did test this on my Slim with 5.50GEN-D2 (HC Recovery Flasher FTW!!) and it seemed to run fine, loading was a bit slower due to no M33 MS speed up, but I didn't notice any major slow downs.

Is there any Speed hack for Gen D2?
