I'm running on a psp slim 5.50 GenB2.

Roms load up ridiculously slow, sometimes they dont load at all.
I looked at the compatibility list and it says the HLE problem is gone in OoT so does that mean the menu or the constant freezing? It also says the menus are fine. I'm using OoT 1.2 and the menus are still crap and there isn't much of a difference between the 2 versionsso I'm assuming 1.0's is still crap.

It's not only OoT that loads up slow but all my other games load up slow as well.
Yes, I deleted all the .hle files and all the crap.

anyone else getting these problems or just me cause the compat list has none of these issues on it?

I haven't tested it yet but ill let you know when I do. But a couple things, first that compatibility listing wasnt updated properly. All that changed was the rev. As you can see from its description its talking about rev 435. Also I do believe that its talking about the menu, not the whole games use of HLE. Second thing is you should be using 1.0 not 1.2.

The first time u load a rom it has 2 recreate the hle so it takes longer to play but if every rom is taking 2 long after the first load b sure 2 check if ur mem stick speed up hack is enabled unless ur on gen.

for me, on Rev 441, zelda OoT seemed slower (I had HLE on) (had v 1.0)

usually with 1 frameskip, in the temple of time it'll be pretty decent but it seemed slower this time

On Mario 64 the head at the begining is under 13 fps...
I think it has something to do with Salv-e changing the way the graphics work

Frameskip logic is bugged, don't use frameskip=1 as it is the same as frameskip=0 (No frames are actually skipped)...
to skip something you need to use frameskip>=2 (but then you'll be skipping half of the frames)...
Actually, frameskip 1 is a tiny bit slower than frameskip 0 =p

Are you saying that Deadalus has actually gotten slower since rev.441. (assuming you didn't just upgrade to gen). I looked at the revision log and it never lists the revision where the vpfu was fixed. I'm going to retest alpha 437 vs. alpha 441 and see if their's a difference in speed. (i was able to use alpha 437 without too many problems)

Yeah 437 is the fastest, and then in 440 (which was then next rev that I used) there was a slowdown. 440 and 441 have identical speed.

I am currently on 5.50 GEN-D2 Full and no issues for me(Other than load times = ~ the NO FATMSMOD speed). I don't know about GEN-B (but I heard it is slow in general). For Homebrew I recommend GEN-D2 or 5.00M33-6. Then again as a dev I am running my roms for my HD rather than my MS, which means it is likely a GEN issue and not a DX64 issue. I haven't done full speed comparisons yet to find out which changes gained or lost us speed. I've noticed some things are faster than they were and some are slower from general observation though.

so your saying it could be from the firmware? has anyone tested it on M33 FW yet?

I would test it myself, im still on M33, but I dont have my psp ATM.
I will test it later on when I have a chance and come back here.

also off topic (slightly)

I recently saw this vid of zelda MM running fullspeed

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=myXbWOjennM

its freaking amazing! you guys at team DX64 are awsome! I cant belive how fast its running.
I have a few questions bout it, does anyone know what Rev. that is? and what psp model its running on? like if it were on a phat would it run that fast? I remember reading that Slim users get a speed increase over phat users.

keep up the great work guys. cant wait for the giant improvements beta 3 is gonna have. :)

It's showing off a bug that causes a speed increase which we haven't tracked down yet, but we'll be looking for the source later this week.

No offense to nintendo boy but that video was very propagandistic. I used the same rev and rom (the gamecube one) and it wasn't that amazingly fullspeed. The fps seemed to increase a great amount with frameskip on which was pretty odd. Everywhere else in clock town was slow as :-S. He should have showed that in the video cause he got my hopes up for nothing. -_-

edit: I'm updating to Gen D2 to check for differences

That video was made using the bug that has been mentioned. I tested it myself using the bug and it ran just like in the video.
