Want to be an Official Daedalusx64 tester?

Post your application in this thread If you think you qualify to be a tester

Attention!

To reduce clutter and make it easier for the mods of Daedalusx64 to promote people im giving you all one last chance to not post meaningless things here. Here are the new exclusive rules to this topic.

1. The only things that will be acceptable on this will be applications and post stating whether or not you think that member will be good or bad at being a tester. One off topic peep from any of you (including mods, ops, developers, members, testers and linkinkid) will result in your post being deleted and your name being written down for future reference.

2. Each member is allowed one comment towards anothers applications, meaning you say whether you like the person or not then you don't make another comment until a different person goes for tester then you may comment once more but only if its at the new application.

3. Put a lot of thought into your post when applying since it will help us all greatly. I don't want to see a message saying "I want tester so I apply, give me a internet high 5 bitches!". Same goes for the comments people will make towards any application. Detail is very important to the person applying so make sure you do some smart/good typing because you do want the person your voting for to have tester right?....Oh, and also explain why you think they should have tester.

4. No noobs/newbs! I don't want to see ANY new members post here AT ALL. I don't care if you say you have experience or love the N64 blah, blah. It's makes me even more mad when you idiot's only have 0 post and your application being post 1. You will automatically be declined and your hopes of ever making Tester(even if you post in the future) will greatly diminish.

All of the regular forums rules still apply but due to you guys messing around I had to add more. I will also edit this post just in case I see something needs to be changed. Failure to comply with the above rules will result in deletion of post at the moderators discretion. I of course do not abide by these rules so don't give be the ol' switch-ah-roo.

Attention!

Approved Applications.

so.. are our applications null and void at this point? :/

The other thread got cluttered with many Off-Topic posts, so a new thread was created. If you still wish to be a Tester, then you must re-apply again here.

Let this be a warning to any member applying to be a Tester, any post such as MAST3R INFERNO's will be deleted at the user's discretion, since it does not fully comply with the rules listed in the first post.

I am very fond of Nintendo and I have played every systems maid by Nintendo except for their hand held devises. I used to play Super Mario Bros. and all of the other Mario games for the Nintendo Entertainment System. I currently own a Nintendo 64 and a Nintendo Gamecube but I have other Nintendo products in my house and they are SNES, 3 N64s, 2 Gamecubes, and a WII. Don't wurry I play every game system in my house. I also have that I own is a PlayStation 1 (THIN), PlayStation 2 (PHAT), PlayStation 3 (PHAT, 250 gig HDD), and my PSP. My PSP as you know is already hacked or else I wouldn't be applying to be a tester. I have been playing games since I was 2 and I am now 15. I have had a lot of experiences with different game systems. This will also help me practice for my dream career to be a game tester. I know so far that to be a game tester as a real job that you will need to go through levels loads of times and then you need to write about the glitches and other things to the people you work for. I am telling you right now that i do not have any experience with being a game testing but I think that this will be easier since its on games that I love on the N64. My name is Stephen Greenlaw.

I appreciate your honesty and would like to say that your application itself is well typed. Their is of course a few issues. When a person applys to be a tester they would of course have to understand what to look for, how to look for it and how to fix it. You have joined for 30 minutes and have only one post. This begs the result that you really don't understand or know anything about emulators and Daedalusx64 itself. I understand that you want to help but you need to know these things in order to actually help. Your application will be denied but in the future, if you helped out and gained a understanding of things you can make a new application and will be in good standing.

Sorry I know that I just joined but I have been using Emulators for about a 1.5 years now. I have used the following emulators-Mupon64, Project64 v1.6 and v1.4. Nesterj, a DS emulator that i can't remember the name of, ZSENS, and some other game boy ones. Sorry I didn't think to put that in there but if you think I'm not good, witch I probably am not good at it, then I thank you for replying so quickly. I was going to check tomorrow but now I don't have to. I appreciate all you peoples work on daedalus. Hope it last long.

Very good application, i'd be happy to make you tester but you need to update the compatibility list first to prove you are worthy.

Cheers

I think I'm going to stop with this because well, my computer is at a low for right now as in low ram, low disk space (40 gig HDD), and other low things. I've been trying to rebuild it but I think I should wait but I might get a new computer today and if I do I will check out the compatibility list and see what I'll be doing. So I am not saying I am, its if I can get that computer because ,mine is like the slowest PC ever and for some reason hates to connect to the wireless access point. I am on my school mac that I am losing next week so I might.

I know the basis of being a tester, looking for bugs, finding what caused them, and finding a solution to said bug. I'm currently testing several (secret) homebrews, and the Half-Byte Loader. I could check comparability between the current HBL and Dx64, if it's okay with the mods here.

Feel free to test HBL alas as it's only really a temp solution until Custom Firmware (yes until) comes out on those said platforms.

Hello , i would love to be a tester , as i have been in the psp scene since 2007 and have had a nintendo 64 since about 2001 , and i know alot about both. i have posted bugs/bughunts before on the forums and even got recongnition from kreationz i also look for bugs in a wide variety of roms and i have complete accessto the Internet and my PSP 24/7 as i have wireless internet in my house and internet at school and i have my psp on me at all times. i know alot about testing games and such as i am on the daedalus forums everyday constantly checking them , although i am not always logged in , i am here. i know you have to put what version of rom your using when posting bugs i.e Legend of zelda Ocarina of time (U) [!] , i also have the nessesary software required for compiling your own build , i have c++ , PSPSDK and tortoise SVN. i would greatly appreciate if you could hire me as a tester or at the very very least a daedalusx64 User , many thanks

Your in good standing comrade. I'll discuss it with Wally before anything is final. You have my approval but you have to have both of ours most of all before anything happens. I'll get back to yah for the answer.

As he already stated, I seen him around before and he has tried to be helpful in posting bugs in the past. I've got no direct objections.

(Only bad note is, grammar could use a little work...)

I have been a member of the DaedalusX64 community for some time now (For those of you who don't remember me I was formerly know as "McTavish55") and I would like to apply to be a tester. I know I haven't been active for a long time now, but that is due to school and some personal issues that occurred. School is now out and I will have much more time to devote to testing this emulator.

I have been in the PSP scene since the middle of 2006, I am very knowledgeable in almost all aspects of the PSP. I currently own a PSP 1000 and a PSP 2000 both with custom firmware 5.50 GEN-D3. I know how to compile my own revisions (I actually used to compile and upload revisions for the community back around revision 290, but stopped when Kreationz started to upload them himself). I also know how to debug using PSPlink and how to do simple blendmode work. I am beginning to learn C++ and how to develop/code on a PSP, I hope in the future to be able to help further the development of this wonderful emulator.

I understand if I am not allowed to be a tester due to my limited recent forum activity, so if I unable to become a tester at this time I will increase my forum activity and re-apply in the future.

No objections to anything but I do have one question. Are your personal issues taken care of?

Yes they are, Also I am going on vacation soon with nothing but my PSP and a crappy laptop. So all I will have to do for a couple of weeks is PSP related, So you should expect a lot of test results from me and maybe a corrected blendmode or two.
