of course its hackable but we need a exploit first. and it would be full speed no doubt. if a n64 game is slow on the ngp it must be some bug.

Just looking at the speed of the cpu alone would make me think full speed is possible. It's much more than twice the speed of the psp's cpu and think what the devs could do with daedalus if they just had double the cpu speed to work with.

Look at Android's "N64oid"... Only in it's first few releases was it's compatibility VERY good. Why? you might ask? Well, lets consider the fact that most upscale Android devices being released these days have duel core, Tegra 2, 1GHZ, proccessors.... and at least 512 megabytes of RAM... And considering the fact that the NGP won't release until later this year/early next year we're guaranteed to have the latest and greatest Hardware. Also, These Android Devices are not 100% aimed at Full gaming... Last time I checked. The NGP is a portable video game console... Aiming to rival the experience of a PS3/360... Also, lets consider one more thing, and I'll be done with my rather lengthy post. My Acer Aspire One Netbook isn't much powerful than your average Smartphone (proccessor wise) in fact... It isn't anymore powerful at all! Its got a 1ghz proccessor! Infact I havn't run accross one n64 game that it couldn't handle using PJ64! So the chances of a near perfect N64 emulator as long as we have talented, active developers.... (which we already have) I'd say are pretty good. Now exuse me as I go back to lurking...

The NGP will be too expensive so not much ppl will have it. Hacking will take about a year before we're able to run emulators.

We still have yet to hack the 3DS. Even if we get a Acekard 3 or CycloDS 3 on the device. There is still a huge possibility that the "updates" that Nintendo will force your system to do will make it unusable. This and the fact that the 3DS is expensive is the only reason why we still don't have they flashcarts. I'm willing to bet that it will be another month and a half before we make any progress on the flashcarts.

Sony is a different story. They always think they are indestructible like Francis from Left 4 Dead. But unlike Francis, Sony's security is like a heavily played Jenga game. A crappy foundation with a lot of hopes and dreams that this next piece will still keep the Jenga from falling. NGP will be easier to deal with, trust me.

Personally Shuma i think Sony will wise up this time around, and use the same automatic updates on the NGP as Nintendo are doing on the 3DS, would make things very tough for hackers to combat, of course only if its connected to the internet or 3G network whatever it is called.

Depends if it is backward compatible to the PSP... which I doubt... although that would spur sales of the NGP...
